You have a game that works. What it does not have yet is an economy, a wallet for every player, and a crowd of people to play it. Omen Arcade gives you all three: integrate once through the Developer Portal and your game sits alongside every other game in the ecosystem, with OMCADE as the currency players already hold.
This guide covers what integrating does to the OMCADE economy, then walks you from sign-up to a listed game.
What your game does to the OMCADE economy
Players spend OMCADE in your game, and it lands in your wallet. Purchases are server-authoritative: your backend asks the platform to charge the player, and the payment moves on-chain from the player's wallet to your studio's Developer Wallet, at the moment of the purchase. You need a Developer Wallet before the first purchase can go through.
The platform fee is 3%. Each purchase carries a platform fee of 300 basis points, sent on-chain to the platform treasury. The other 97% is yours, paid per purchase rather than in a later payout.
You set prices in US dollars. Players pay in OMCADE, GMT or BNB, converted at checkout, and a charge the platform cannot price is refused rather than guessed. A single charge above $25 is refused, and each player has a rolling spend cap.
Your API usage is paid in OMCADE. Most calls to the platform API cost 0.001 OMCADE; minting an NFT costs 0.01. There are no monthly fees and no tiers: usage is totalled over a monthly billing cycle, invoiced when the cycle closes, and paid from your Developer Wallet to the platform treasury.
You can reward players in OMCADE. With the game-rewards API, your server pays OMCADE from your Developer Wallet straight to a player, up to 300,000 OMCADE per payment. It is your OMCADE moving to your players; nothing is created.
So a game on Omen Arcade does two things to the token: it gives players something to spend OMCADE on, and it sends a little OMCADE back to the platform every time it sells something or talks to the API. None of it is burned; fees move to the treasury.
Step 1: create your studio account
Go to developer.omen.foundation/onboarding. Sign-up takes three short steps:
- Your account: your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters.
- Your studio: company name (required), website, size and industry.
- Your plans: what you want to build, so the portal can point you at the right docs. It is a questionnaire, not a pricing plan.
Then verify your email. You need a verified email before you can create an API key.
Step 2: add your game
Add your first game in the portal. A new game starts as a draft marked Coming Soon, visible only to your studio. You need:
- a game ID (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens), a title and a version;
- a short description (up to 500 characters);
- at least one platform: web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo.
Optionally add a long description, icon and promo art, store links, a play URL, and an iframe build for web games (embedded, slide-out or fullscreen). Each studio starts with five game slots.
Step 3: create an API key
In API keys, create a key for your game, give it a name and choose its scopes, from balances:read and purchase:write to quests, leaderboards, inventory and player data. Keys work on BSC MainNet as soon as your email is verified. The key is shown once, so store it on your server. It never goes in the browser.
Step 4: build your integration
Install the Web SDK:
npm install @omen.foundation/game-sdk
The SDK has two halves. OmenXGameSDK runs in the browser and signs players in with OAuth; inside an iframe on Omen Arcade, sign-in is automatic. OmenXServerSDK runs on your backend with your API key and does everything that touches balances or items.
import { OmenXGameSDK } from '@omen.foundation/game-sdk';
const sdk = new OmenXGameSDK({
gameId: 'your-game-id',
onAuth: (authData) => console.log('Authenticated!', authData),
onAuthError: (error) => console.error('Auth error:', error),
});
await sdk.init();
From your server you can read a player and their balances, create purchases, grant inventory items and rewards, run quests, and post leaderboard scores. The portal's documentation has a five-minute quick start, a reference for every API area, and a playground for trying real requests with your key.
Building in Unity? A Unity SDK is in development; for production games the portal recommends the Web SDK or the API directly.
Step 5: submit for review
The game's launch checklist unlocks Submit for review once three things are in place: a name, description and platforms; key art; and a way to launch it (a play URL, an iframe build or a store link). Add a note for the reviewers and send it.
A person at Omen plays your game before it reaches the games list. You see the decision, and the reason if the answer is no. Once approved, your game appears on the Omen Arcade games list. Each later release stage (alpha, beta, full availability) is approved in turn, and until then players see the game as Coming Soon.
